Narrative:
IFR flight from iwd to msp. Icy runway 27 sanded to company specifications. First officer at the controls while myself, PIC, at the radios. I determined the runway in question to be in fair to good condition for takeoff and landing. I was advancing power to approximately 50% when first officer called attention to fact that he could not control the roll. I immediately reduced power to 0 but aircraft was veering to left. Applying brakes and differential thrust the aircraft then started veering to the right side at which time it struck 2 runway lights on the right side of the runway. Control was regained. Taxied to terminal where discovered slight damage to 1 blade of right propeller and bent manifold duct for right brake deice system. Cancelled the flight. Notified company per manual. Dsm FSDO notified.
