Narrative:

I was flying from geg to pdx. Every time I've gone into pdx from the east I've been given the dls.dls 1. This time we got a new STAR (bonvl.bonvl 1) south our clearance, which I haven't flown before. I reviewed the plate, set up the navaids for the appropriate radials, started the descent, and got involved with some last min paperwork. The captain was involved at the time getting ATIS and talking with the station. I was a little surprised that we had reached dls because, as I said, I was catching up on paperwork. When I looked up we had already overflown the station by about 3-5 DME and, not being familiar with the arrival, I combined the radial we were to intercept with the arrival I expected (dls.dls 1). The result was I used the right radial with the wrong VOR and took us off course by about 10-13 DME. The controller questioned us, and gave us a vector to reintercept the arrival, pointing out traffic passing 2000' overhead. There's no real fix to the situation. The captain saw everything set up as it should have been before he got involved with the operations calls, I just vapor locked over the VOR.
