Narrative:
Enclosed is a letter I am sending. I am concerned about what I have seen on the aircraft and the number of fuel shortage failures that have occurred with the medium large transport. Other pilots have said I am 'rocking the boat' or sticking my neck out by doing the procedure outlined in paragraph 5. The medium large transport fuel system needs close analysis. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: I had a meeting with apa safety reps who are talking to company. Company has expressed interest and will confer with engineering and maintenance to try to see if there is a design problem with the system. Company has numerous individual write-ups on the system and are looking for a pattern.
