Narrative:
We took off stf runway 18 and were proceeding igb VOR direct. Before takeoff we obtained IFR clearance on the ground starkville and we were cleared direct igb VOR. After the takeoff we were cleared to 11000', then I found an airplane on the left side, lower corner of my wind shield within 1/4 mi distance. That airplane is twin engine (fuselage mount) small jet with conventional tail. Heading was head-on to us. Vertical and horizontal distance was as described above. It was left and lower than I was. I was talking to cmb approach control from 1 min after takeoff to when handed off to next frequency (on 123.8). He did not give us any advisory about the traffic. I did not tell the controller about this incident because I thought it was not wise to discuss this issue on the radio while flying and it was possible to reconstruct this fact by radio communication record and radar record later. I'm not an american citizen, however all my certificates of flying were obtained in the us and I have lived in the us for almost 9 yrs and I can understand english language well.

Narrative: WE TOOK OFF STF RWY 18 AND WERE PROCEEDING IGB VOR DIRECT. BEFORE TKOF WE OBTAINED IFR CLRNC ON THE GND STARKVILLE AND WE WERE CLRED DIRECT IGB VOR. THAT AIRPLANE IS TWIN ENG (FUSELAGE MOUNT) SMALL JET WITH CONVENTIONAL TAIL. HDG WAS HEAD-ON TO US. VERT AND HORIZ DISTANCE WAS AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. IT WAS LEFT AND LOWER THAN I WAS. I WAS TALKING TO CMB APCH CTL FROM 1 MIN AFTER TKOF TO WHEN HANDED OFF TO NEXT FREQ (ON 123.8). HE DID NOT GIVE US ANY ADVISORY ABOUT THE TFC.
