Narrative:

I was braking upon landing and swerved to the left; I believe due to ice. The wing tip caught the 6' high snow bank on the runway edge and the right wing caught the pavement. The plane turned 90 degree and came to a stop. No one was injured fortunately. The FAA was contacted. There was damage to the right wing, propeller, and left wheel. I was landing on runway 19 at truckee tahoe airport. A shorter approach and slower landing speed would have decreased the likelihood of this incident.

Title: LOSS OF ACFT CTL LNDG ON ICY RWY.

Narrative: I WAS BRAKING UPON LNDG AND SWERVED TO THE L; I BELIEVE DUE TO ICE. THE WING TIP CAUGHT THE 6' HIGH SNOW BANK ON THE RWY EDGE AND THE R WING CAUGHT THE PAVEMENT. THE PLANE TURNED 90 DEG AND CAME TO A STOP. NO ONE WAS INJURED FORTUNATELY. THE FAA WAS CONTACTED. THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE R WING, PROP, AND L WHEEL. I WAS LNDG ON RWY 19 AT TRUCKEE TAHOE ARPT. A SHORTER APCH AND SLOWER LNDG SPD WOULD HAVE DECREASED THE LIKELIHOOD OF THIS INCIDENT.
