Narrative:
Situation: conflict on runway, one airplane on runway, one airplane descending to land. Events: the student and myself had completed our pre-takeoff checklist which we perform on the ramp area due to no runup area at the runway ends. We performed a 360 degree clearing turn prior to taxiing to the end of the runway. The taxiway leading to the runway is too narrow to perform a 360 degree clearing turn before taxiing onto the runway. Short of the hold line, I had my student taxi left of the centerline, then make a right 90 degree turn to clear the final approach path. At this time, neither my student, nor myself saw any traffic on final approach. We were monitoring the CTAF at grand prairie airport and heard no position reports. My student was not extremely competent at taxiing. Just before the student applied power to begin the takeoff roll a high wing, conventional gear airplane appeared above us and to our right. The airplane passed very close to us, continued descending and banked left to position itself in front of us in a reckless manner. The airplane then began climbing to go around. In my opinion, the pilot was trying to scare us or drive his point home that we were in the wrong. I stress that there appeared to be no aircraft on final approach when we entered the runway. A witness,who had just cleared the runway, told me the aircraft was flying an extremely close, low base leg and appeared to turn final about 500' from the threshold in what he described as a 'simulated emergency approach'. The witness agreed that he heard no reports from the aircraft on the CTAF prior to the incident or on the go around. Suggested corrective action: FARS requiring mandatory: two way radio and position reporting at high traffic density airports west/O a control tower; minimum altitude and distance to turn final; use of aircraft lights at high density airports. At grand prairie airport: construct runup areas at ends of txwys with room to perform 360 degree traffic check; control tower, possibly on weekends only; establish mandatory pattern procedures.

Title: POTENTIAL GND CONFLICT AND NEAR COLLISION AS LNDG ACFT MANEUVERS AROUND ACFT ON RWY, READY FOR TKOF. UNICOM NOT IN OPERATION, CTAF ONLY.
Narrative: SITUATION: CONFLICT ON RWY, ONE AIRPLANE ON RWY, ONE AIRPLANE DSNDING TO LAND. EVENTS: THE STUDENT AND MYSELF HAD COMPLETED OUR PRE-TKOF CHKLIST WHICH WE PERFORM ON THE RAMP AREA DUE TO NO RUNUP AREA AT THE RWY ENDS. IN MY OPINION, THE PLT WAS TRYING TO SCARE US OR DRIVE HIS POINT HOME THAT WE WERE IN THE WRONG. I STRESS THAT THERE APPEARED TO BE NO ACFT ON FINAL APCH WHEN WE ENTERED THE RWY. A WITNESS,WHO HAD JUST CLRED THE RWY, TOLD ME THE ACFT WAS FLYING AN EXTREMELY CLOSE, LOW BASE LEG AND APPEARED TO TURN FINAL ABOUT 500' FROM THE THRESHOLD IN WHAT HE DESCRIBED AS A 'SIMULATED EMER APCH'. THE WITNESS AGREED THAT HE HEARD NO RPTS FROM THE ACFT ON THE CTAF PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT OR ON THE GO AROUND.
