Narrative:
We taxied out of the FBO in crw to runway 5 via B and a. At the end we pulled off slightly to the southeast of taxiway a to perform a runup. The only markings were for a non-movement area; there were no other signs or markings. We pulled off to allow aircraft behind us to depart and not have to wait. Part way through the runup ground control called and told us that we were not allowed to be where we were; as it was restricted to air carriers only - yet no signs or markings to designate that. The controller asked us to pull forward 4-5 feet so that we would be out of the non-movement area. We complied; and departed without incident.the air carrier terminal was located a fair distance east of the taxiway; no indications that we were near the air carrier ramp. No instructions were received from ground control; we parked next to another aircraft doing a runup; but we were a little farther east; so slightly inside the non-movement area. Had there been signs; markings; or ATC instructions this could have been prevented.
