Narrative:
The temporary stinger MOA was active from 6;000 feet to 20;000 feet. Aircraft X's direct route put him through the MOA. I advised him of the active area and asked if he preferred left or right around it. He replied that the MOA is not on his charts. I told him it's new and turned him 20 degrees right and eventually routed him around it. We had a conversation about this temporary MOA and he brought up an unsafe issue. He asked where can he find this information? I asked my supervisor to call management and they came back with a 'special use airspace' website. The pilot replied with 'do you really think a VFR pilot is going to look at that?' I agreed and he also voiced his concern about flying right through it had he not been talking to ATC. I understand that he is allowed to fly through it VFR; however; that is not the safety issue. He obviously would never fly through it if he knew about. I researched the temporary MOA after getting out of position and found out the stinger MOA is NOTAM'd out by searching the FAA NOTAMS. However; it is through ZOB. This MOA sits directly on ZID/ZOB boundary. Is it attached to ZID; also? I couldn't find the NOTAM in erids but that doesn't mean it's not there. I may need to be trained and am not 'blaming' any department or individual. I am not a pilot and do not know the websites where pilots should search for temporary flight restrictions or active military airspace. I am recommending to attach this NOTAM to ZID; cmh ATCT; fwa ATCT; and other adjoining facilities. If it is already attached to these facilities; pilots may find it easier and be aware. It might be attached but I was unable to find it on erids; in which case I recommend a training brief on the subject so I will be better prepared.
