Narrative:
I was working seever low sector. I had 4 aircraft holding for dallas love field due to weather at the airport. Approach called and had me bring in one aircraft not mentioned on this report to see if they could accept arrivals. I brought that aircraft in without problems. Minutes later my front line manager (flm) returned from a shift briefing and said 'bring in ZFW arrivals 20 miles in trail.'I questioned the flm about that twice. The second time they were annoyed and said bring in all the planes you are holding 20 miles in trail. I resequenced the airplanes and controlled the spacing with speed control. The first one of the now 3 planes I had was approaching D10's airspace and the receiving controller informed they were not taking the arrival due to weather and I had to hold the arrivals I had just recleared in on the arrival. This caused increase workload for me and a potential dangerous situation due to weather and increased workload due to our supervisor's poor coordination and not knowing how the facility and our area work. It also caused [an aircraft] to divert.make sure the supervisors are aware of what is going on in their areas. More and more supervisors are oblivious to how the operation actually works and work on communication between the flm and the controller actually working the traffic.
