Narrative:

I was with a student pilot doing touch-and-goes when we experienced a near-miss after takeoff. On climb out from runway 03; at about 400-500 feet AGL; my student lowered the nose of the airplane to check for traffic and discovered a piper saratoga on final approach for runway 21 at approximately the same altitude and on a direct collision course; maybe 400 feet in front of and above us and descending into us.multiple aircraft were in the pattern for runway 03 at the time. The pilot of the saratoga was making radio calls to enter the pattern on a straight in for runway 03. I inquired about him coming in for a straight in from the north and told him we were on crosswind for runway 03. I then spotted the saratoga coming in from the north; offset from what would be a straight-in for runway 21 and he appeared to be on the extended downwind [upwind?] leg for runway 03 at the time. I asked if he had us in sight as we were on crosswind/turning downwind for runway 03. He reported that he did and would follow us in for runway 03 after doing a 360 for spacing. We went on to do a touch-and-go on runway 03; and then discovered on the climb out that the saratoga was actually on final for runway 21. We missed any other radio calls the pilot may have made.
