Narrative:

Traffic volume may have caused this incident and overlapping data blocks. I was operating and working the sarasota radar sector out of tampa approach. I had approximately ten aircraft on my frequency. One of the involved aircraft of this incident was filed from spg direct to fmy to mth from north to south. The second aircraft airfield from vnc to lal to rbm. Both aircraft were filed for 5000'. Cruising altitude. Both aircraft passed each other at 5000' both aircraft saw each other. As the sector controller I missed what was occurring until one of the pilots said he had had a near miss.
