Narrative:
Pushed off gate with normal indications. Taxi to runway 36. ECAM brakes and nosewheel steering inoperative. Reset nose wheel steering; all indications normal. Continued taxi to 36. ECAM brakes and nosewheel steering became inoperative again; unable to brake or steer. Switched nose wheel steering off; applied brakes and reverse to stop aircraft. Stopped on taxiway; set brakes; called maintenance to have us towed back to gate. Contacted dispatch and were pulled to gate. Aircraft swap and on our way. Maintenance met us at gate; entered information in aircraft maintenance log (aml).

Title: An A320 crew reported a Brake and Steering Control Unit (BSCU) failure while taxiing for takeoff. The first brake and steering failure was reset; but the aircraft was towed to the gate after the second occurrence.
