Narrative:

During touch and go traffic, in the pattern at apa runway 17R, we were turning right crosswind to downwind and noticed an small aircraft apparently entering on the same downwind from the south. Apa tower advised 'you are turning in front of aircraft' and at the same time we caught a glimpse of same aircraft (left wing high on our aircraft was restricting line of sight in that quadrant). We did not see the small aircraft previously nor did we receive traffic advisory prior to above mentioned transmission. A steep angle of bank to the right on our part with a turn toward the west by the other aircraft, provided avoidance for both.

Narrative: DURING TOUCH AND GO TFC, IN THE PATTERN AT APA RWY 17R, WE WERE TURNING R XWIND TO DOWNWIND AND NOTICED AN SMA APPARENTLY ENTERING ON THE SAME DOWNWIND FROM THE S. APA TWR ADVISED 'YOU ARE TURNING IN FRONT OF ACFT' AND AT THE SAME TIME WE CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF SAME ACFT (L WING HIGH ON OUR ACFT WAS RESTRICTING LINE OF SIGHT IN THAT QUADRANT). WE DID NOT SEE THE SMA PREVIOUSLY NOR DID WE RECEIVE TFC ADVISORY PRIOR TO ABOVE MENTIONED XMISSION. A STEEP ANGLE OF BANK TO THE R ON OUR PART WITH A TURN TOWARD THE W BY THE OTHER ACFT, PROVIDED AVOIDANCE FOR BOTH.
