Narrative:
Approached air field from northwest for a 2 mi base for runway 6. With airport in sight (runway 10 was in sight and well lit with VASI/HIRL/approach lighting), I assumed what I was seeing (runway 10) was runway 6 and reported 2 mi base. I recognized my mistake at 200' AGL and performed a go around to get properly positioned for runway 6. I suggest a few glances in the cockpit to make sure you are on the correct heading for your final approach.

Title: WRONG RWY APCH.
Narrative: APCHED AIR FIELD FROM NW FOR A 2 MI BASE FOR RWY 6. WITH ARPT IN SIGHT (RWY 10 WAS IN SIGHT AND WELL LIT WITH VASI/HIRL/APCH LIGHTING), I ASSUMED WHAT I WAS SEEING (RWY 10) WAS RWY 6 AND RPTED 2 MI BASE. I RECOGNIZED MY MISTAKE AT 200' AGL AND PERFORMED A GAR TO GET PROPERLY POSITIONED FOR RWY 6. I SUGGEST A FEW GLANCES IN THE COCKPIT TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE CORRECT HDG FOR YOUR FINAL APCH.
