Narrative:
On takeoff and climb out from fay, I was unable to transmit to fay TRACON while in the arsa. Tried several times to make calls in the blind that I could not communicate and would switch to 7500 and return to 1200 on transponder. No conflicts. Trouble later found to be headset problem in connection to radio.
