Narrative:
On radar vector heading 290 degrees, altitude 6000', bay approach control ordered immediate left turn to 240 degrees due conflicting traffic showing at 600'. I had a momentary glimpse of traffic which I thought was white in color and high-wind, but against white cloud background I could not tell how close or what exact type.
