Narrative:
Completed IFR flight in VMC from fort smith, ar, to mckinney, tx. Put gear switch down, but no green light for left main. Press-to-test showed bulb ok. Recycled gear up and down again . No change. Retracted gear and flew to addison, tx, airport (about 15 mi) where there is a tower, crash trucks, and my normal maintenance provider. Reviewed pilot's handbook in air, called ads tower, advising problem and requesting fly-by for their observation of landing gear. When I put the gear down in ads pattern, I did get all three green lights. Made 2 low fly-bys of tower. All but one operator thought all were down, one operator thought maybe left one was slightly angled. Tower asked and I reported total fuel 100 gallons with (including) 30 in each tip tank. I landed in a 40 degree , 10 mph crosswind west/O incident. I called tower about an hour later, thanking crew. My a and P tested gear and found slight sticking due to grease washed out of some joints (plane was 11 months from last annual with about 135 hours on it). Lubrication relieved all symptoms and no parts or adjustments were required.

Title: SMT EXPERIENCES LNDG GEAR PROBLEM.
Narrative: COMPLETED IFR FLT IN VMC FROM FORT SMITH, AR, TO MCKINNEY, TX. PUT GEAR SWITCH DOWN, BUT NO GREEN LIGHT FOR L MAIN. PRESS-TO-TEST SHOWED BULB OK. RECYCLED GEAR UP AND DOWN AGAIN . NO CHANGE. RETRACTED GEAR AND FLEW TO ADDISON, TX, ARPT (ABOUT 15 MI) WHERE THERE IS A TWR, CRASH TRUCKS, AND MY NORMAL MAINT PROVIDER. REVIEWED PLT'S HANDBOOK IN AIR, CALLED ADS TWR, ADVISING PROB AND REQUESTING FLY-BY FOR THEIR OBSERVATION OF LNDG GEAR. WHEN I PUT THE GEAR DOWN IN ADS PATTERN, I DID GET ALL THREE GREEN LIGHTS. MADE 2 LOW FLY-BYS OF TWR. ALL BUT ONE OPERATOR THOUGHT ALL WERE DOWN, ONE OPERATOR THOUGHT MAYBE L ONE WAS SLIGHTLY ANGLED. TWR ASKED AND I RPTED TOTAL FUEL 100 GALLONS WITH (INCLUDING) 30 IN EACH TIP TANK. I LANDED IN A 40 DEG , 10 MPH XWIND W/O INCIDENT. I CALLED TWR ABOUT AN HR LATER, THANKING CREW. MY A AND P TESTED GEAR AND FOUND SLIGHT STICKING DUE TO GREASE WASHED OUT OF SOME JOINTS (PLANE WAS 11 MONTHS FROM LAST ANNUAL WITH ABOUT 135 HRS ON IT). LUBRICATION RELIEVED ALL SYMPTOMS AND NO PARTS OR ADJUSTMENTS WERE REQUIRED.
