Narrative:
Upon landing when the main landing gear touched down; the aircraft immediately experienced strong vibrations that shook the entire aircraft. The vibrations ended once we were below 50 knots. There was no checklist to run. We talked about the event and believed it was possibly a brake issue. However; the brake temperatures were normal and within limits. We decided to continue to taxi to the gate and had no further problems.post-flight inspection of the landing gear resulted in no observed anomalies by the flight crew. Later; maintenance reported that several bolts along with safety wire was missing from the left main landing gear shimmy dampener.
