Narrative:
Holding at intersection described above. Just turned back inbound and descended from FL250 to FL330. Captain on radio with company dispatch changing alternate. Second officer on radio updating ATIS. First officer (PF) fine tuning radar picture of WX pattern, which was causing the en route hold. Aircraft exceeded inbound fix by 7 mi. No other traffic in conflict.
