Narrative:
Flight was cleared clt-sdf via the hornet 1 departure off runway 18R. The SID calls for maximum speed of 250 KTS until ATC advises. Above 10000' I accelerated the aircraft to the normal climb speed of 302 KTS. I did not notice the speed restriction on the SID plate. When ZTL cleared us for normal speed, we admitted the infraction. Nothing further was stated by ATC.

Narrative: FLT WAS CLRED CLT-SDF VIA THE HORNET 1 DEP OFF RWY 18R. THE SID CALLS FOR MAX SPD OF 250 KTS UNTIL ATC ADVISES. ABOVE 10000' I ACCELERATED THE ACFT TO THE NORMAL CLB SPD OF 302 KTS.
