Narrative:
We were inbound to dfw on the scy 313 right (squrry 9 arrival) and fort worth called traffic to us between 10:00 and 11:00 sebnd at 6500' mode C. We were at 6000' MSL and we were in and out of some scattered clouds. When fort worth called traffic, they said he was at 2 mi. Well, the traffic passed in front of us from left to right and kind of on ahead on course. We pushed the plane down to avoid the other aircraft. It was an small transport, blue and white. I would say we were within 300' of the aircraft.
