Narrative:
Cpr light transport X jet was cleared to taxi on 'T' to runway 11/hold short. Aircraft rolled beyond hold line but short of runway. Ground instructed to continue across ry 11 at same time situation recognized by captain. Aircraft small aircraft Y was on 1 mi final. Due to takeoff weight and slow taxi momentum captain of light transport X elected to hold position, aircraft on final did a go around. At no time did light transport X enter the runway while aircraft on final was near landing. After small aircraft Y cleared the landing area ground instructed cpr light transport X to continue taxi on 'T' and hold short of runway 16. First officer unfamiliar with navigation equipment and checklist. At time of incident captain was assisting new hire first officer. Even though cleared to cross runway 11, captain judged best to hold position short of the runway. Captain was, in retrospect, in an overload situation. Trying taxi, verify navigation set up, do the checklist, and clarifying at the same time was the contributor. This aircraft is operated with 2 pilots. In this case there was only one pilot trying to do too much.

Title: CPR LTT X TAXIES OVER RWY HOLD LINE, LEADING TO GO-AROUND BY SMA Y.
Narrative: CPR LTT X JET WAS CLRED TO TAXI ON 'T' TO RWY 11/HOLD SHORT. ACFT ROLLED BEYOND HOLD LINE BUT SHORT OF RWY. GND INSTRUCTED TO CONTINUE ACROSS RY 11 AT SAME TIME SITUATION RECOGNIZED BY CAPT. ACFT SMA Y WAS ON 1 MI FINAL. DUE TO TKOF WT AND SLOW TAXI MOMENTUM CAPT OF LTT X ELECTED TO HOLD POS, ACFT ON FINAL DID A GO AROUND. AT NO TIME DID LTT X ENTER THE RWY WHILE ACFT ON FINAL WAS NEAR LNDG. AFTER SMA Y CLRED THE LNDG AREA GND INSTRUCTED CPR LTT X TO CONTINUE TAXI ON 'T' AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 16. F/O UNFAMILIAR WITH NAV EQUIP AND CHKLIST. AT TIME OF INCIDENT CAPT WAS ASSISTING NEW HIRE F/O. EVEN THOUGH CLRED TO CROSS RWY 11, CAPT JUDGED BEST TO HOLD POS SHORT OF THE RWY. CAPT WAS, IN RETROSPECT, IN AN OVERLOAD SITUATION. TRYING TAXI, VERIFY NAV SET UP, DO THE CHKLIST, AND CLARIFYING AT THE SAME TIME WAS THE CONTRIBUTOR. THIS ACFT IS OPERATED WITH 2 PLTS. IN THIS CASE THERE WAS ONLY ONE PLT TRYING TO DO TOO MUCH.
