Narrative:
Received aircraft from maintenance. Fuel quantity showed left 5900 pounds, right 2700 pounds. Fueled normally. On liftoff aircraft rolled right requiring 3 1/2 units of left aileron trim to maintain wings level after 40 mins flight time. Approaching toledo, I received a fuel asymmetry alert and now left tank indicated 3200 pounds, right 6400 pounds. After landing used under wing fuel sticks to confirm gauge readings now correct. Refueled to balance tanks at 6400. Confirmed with sticks. For remainder of day problem did not recur. My concern is that I departed with 3000 pounds less fuel than I thought. In the future when ever a discrepancy shows between fuel quantity gauges I will stick tanks to double check. This did not enter my mind because the aircraft had been in maintenance for 2 days, I felt perhaps some of their work had caused the out of balance indicated before fueling.

Title: ACR MLG MADE A TKOF WITH A FUEL IMBALANCE AND POSSIBLY THE WRONG FUEL LOAD.
Narrative: RECEIVED ACFT FROM MAINT. FUEL QUANTITY SHOWED L 5900 LBS, R 2700 LBS. FUELED NORMALLY. ON LIFTOFF ACFT ROLLED R REQUIRING 3 1/2 UNITS OF L AILERON TRIM TO MAINTAIN WINGS LEVEL AFTER 40 MINS FLT TIME. APCHING TOLEDO, I RECEIVED A FUEL ASYMMETRY ALERT AND NOW L TANK INDICATED 3200 LBS, R 6400 LBS. AFTER LNDG USED UNDER WING FUEL STICKS TO CONFIRM GAUGE READINGS NOW CORRECT. REFUELED TO BALANCE TANKS AT 6400. CONFIRMED WITH STICKS. FOR REMAINDER OF DAY PROB DID NOT RECUR. MY CONCERN IS THAT I DEPARTED WITH 3000 LBS LESS FUEL THAN I THOUGHT. IN THE FUTURE WHEN EVER A DISCREPANCY SHOWS BTWN FUEL QUANTITY GAUGES I WILL STICK TANKS TO DOUBLE CHK. THIS DID NOT ENTER MY MIND BECAUSE THE ACFT HAD BEEN IN MAINT FOR 2 DAYS, I FELT PERHAPS SOME OF THEIR WORK HAD CAUSED THE OUT OF BALANCE INDICATED BEFORE FUELING.
