Narrative:
Lax tower instructed us to line up and wait on runway 24L. After we complied; the captain transferred aircraft controls to myself. Once lax tower cleared us for takeoff; I advanced the thrust levers and commenced our takeoff roll. Shortly after; I noticed an aircraft downfield that appeared to be approaching our runway at a relatively fast rate. At that time; I asked the captain if that plane (potential crossing aircraft) is going to stop. Moments later; it was evident the other plane was going to cross our runway. I verbalized to the captain the call to stop our takeoff; to which he promptly responded and slowed the aircraft. Shortly after we had already initiated the rejected takeoff; lax tower instructed us to cancel our takeoff clearance. I announced to tower we had aborted our takeoff due to an aircraft on runway. We taxied clear of the runway to comply with necessary procedures.
