Narrative:
I was working local control and launched small aircraft Y off runway 10. After clearing intersection, I launched air carrier X off runway 14. After observing air carrier X roll, I turned small aircraft Y right heading 180 degrees and issued traffic on air carrier X departing runway 14. Small aircraft Y had traffic in sight and I visually observed both aircraft from tower. Air carrier X later called back to state he had to modify his departure to ensure 500' vertical. Lesson: exchange traffic to both aircraft; don't surprise anyone!

Title: DEP ACR NOT NOTIFIED OF ANOTHER DEP ON CROSSING RWY AND MODIFIED DEP TO KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE.
Narrative: I WAS WORKING LCL CTL AND LAUNCHED SMA Y OFF RWY 10. AFTER CLRING INTXN, I LAUNCHED ACR X OFF RWY 14. AFTER OBSERVING ACR X ROLL, I TURNED SMA Y RIGHT HDG 180 DEGS AND ISSUED TFC ON ACR X DEPARTING RWY 14. SMA Y HAD TFC IN SIGHT AND I VISUALLY OBSERVED BOTH ACFT FROM TWR. ACR X LATER CALLED BACK TO STATE HE HAD TO MODIFY HIS DEP TO ENSURE 500' VERT. LESSON: EXCHANGE TFC TO BOTH ACFT; DON'T SURPRISE ANYONE!
