Narrative:
Ground personnel observed small bird ingested into left engine during pwrback at pbi. Crew was not notified until climb out from pbi. Aircraft was 8000 pounds overweight for landing and all engine instruments appeared normal overwater flight was changed to overland flight and continued to dfw.

Title: AFTER DEP, AN ACR FLC WAS NOTIFIED THAT THEIR ACFT HAD INGESTED A BIRD DURING PWR-BACK OP. THE FLT WAS CONTINUED WITH A ROUTING CHANGE FROM OVERWATER, TO OVERLAND.
Narrative: GND PERSONNEL OBSERVED SMALL BIRD INGESTED INTO L ENG DURING PWRBACK AT PBI. CREW WAS NOT NOTIFIED UNTIL CLBOUT FROM PBI. ACFT WAS 8000 LBS OVERWT FOR LNDG AND ALL ENG INSTS APPEARED NORMAL OVERWATER FLT WAS CHANGED TO OVERLAND FLT AND CONTINUED TO DFW.
