Narrative:
Climbing through 10;000 ft crew noticed strong smell of smoke in cabin and cockpit. Never actually saw smoke; but decided to return for landing. No fire was detected and smell never got worse; so we landed and taxied to the gate escorted by crash fire and rescue. Parked the aircraft; determined passengers were all ok and the crew was good. Answered questions from paramedics and performed parking check. Not sure possible electrical issues. No suggestions; I feel everyone involved handled the situation effectively and efficiently. Communication was great and we managed to get the plane on the ground without incident.
