Narrative:
Takeoff roll was terminated by the captain when an electrical compartment light flickered and illuminated on the annunciator panel. While returning to the gate the light went out. Maintenance checked the door, cleaned and realigned the switch and released the aircraft to service. The takeoff roll was terminated at approximately 60 KTS with light braking. Problem was discovered during takeoff roll while performing normal backup visibility checks. Supplemental information from acn 155263: maintenance previously had opened eec door. Suspect it was improperly closed.
