Narrative:
After giving the captain and first officer their bathroom break they have informed the other flight attendant and myself that we had an hour remaining into flight. I proceeded to pick up trash from the front to the rear of the aircraft. After putting away the trash into the trash can in the back galley; I felt something running my nose. I proceeded to the lavatory to wipe my nose; at this time I realized my nose was bleeding. I tried squeezing my nose while tilting my head forward; but the bleeding didn't stopped and seemed to be flowing heavier at this point it started coming through my mouth. I alerted flight attendant B of what was happening. Flight attendant B called for medical personnel on board. Three came to the back galley to assist. With several attempts and no progress with stopping the bleeding and lost at least 3 and a half cups of blood; one of the female medical personnel made the decision for flight attendant B to alert the captain to make an emergency landing. Flight attendant B kept the flight deck informed on the situation. The aircraft was landed. The emergency team was there. I was taken to the hospital and was kept overnight.
