Narrative:
Circumnaving isolated thunderstorms, while in an area clear of a moderate thunderstorm off to our left, encountered light/some moderate precipitation, associated with only very light turbulence for 1 min or less. First officer's forward outer window cracked while in the precipitation. Accomplished procedure called for in the aircraft flight manual, descended to a lower altitude and notified company. In the future will give thunderstorms at high altitudes, even more room because of the precipitation they can throw into the clear air next to them.
