Narrative:
Cleared visibility approach runway 24R lax. Checked in with tower on 9 DME final and cleared to land. Upon T/D first officer and I noticed the widebody transport Y ahead of us on approach was just clearing runway 24R at the end. Normal braking and we cleared the runway at high speed turnoff #65 with about 3500' of runway remaining. It appeared that approach and tower were both overloaded. Supplemental information from acn 156907: during final 1000' of approach, it was apparent that the controllers were very busy (radio traffic, etc). At T/D I saw the logo light, then the landing lights as the widebody transport Y turned to clear the runway. I shouted, 'he's still on the runway.' captain and first officer also saw the profile at this time. Another widebody transport was apparently blocking the access to the taxiway, and the tower did not realize it. We had been cleared to land approximately 9 mi out.

Title: ACR LGT LANDED BEFORE PREVIOUS LNDG WDB WAS CLEAR OF THE RWY.
Narrative: CLRED VIS APCH RWY 24R LAX. CHKED IN WITH TWR ON 9 DME FINAL AND CLRED TO LAND. UPON T/D F/O AND I NOTICED THE WDB Y AHEAD OF US ON APCH WAS JUST CLRING RWY 24R AT THE END. NORMAL BRAKING AND WE CLRED THE RWY AT HIGH SPD TURNOFF #65 WITH ABOUT 3500' OF RWY REMAINING. IT APPEARED THAT APCH AND TWR WERE BOTH OVERLOADED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 156907: DURING FINAL 1000' OF APCH, IT WAS APPARENT THAT THE CTLRS WERE VERY BUSY (RADIO TFC, ETC). AT T/D I SAW THE LOGO LIGHT, THEN THE LNDG LIGHTS AS THE WDB Y TURNED TO CLR THE RWY. I SHOUTED, 'HE'S STILL ON THE RWY.' CAPT AND F/O ALSO SAW THE PROFILE AT THIS TIME. ANOTHER WDB WAS APPARENTLY BLOCKING THE ACCESS TO THE TXWY, AND THE TWR DID NOT REALIZE IT. WE HAD BEEN CLRED TO LAND APPROX 9 MI OUT.
