Flight crew of an large transport were cleared to FL350 by previous controller. Next controller instructed them to expedite a turn and that the clearance was only to FL330. However, since more than one controller was involved, the revised altitude of FL330 was never issued.

Narrative:
Was cleared to FL350. 5 mins later was given expedite left turn 30 degrees for traffic. Controller said he thought he had amended altitude to FL330. He had not. Previous controller had mentioned we might have to wait for FL350 then handed us off. After handoff we were cleared for FL350.

Title: FLC OF AN LGT WERE CLRED TO FL350 BY PREVIOUS CTLR. NEXT CTLR INSTRUCTED THEM TO EXPEDITE A TURN AND THAT THE CLRNC WAS ONLY TO FL330. HOWEVER, SINCE MORE THAN ONE CTLR WAS INVOLVED, THE REVISED ALT OF FL330 WAS NEVER ISSUED.
Narrative: WAS CLRED TO FL350. 5 MINS LATER WAS GIVEN EXPEDITE L TURN 30 DEGS FOR TFC. CTLR SAID HE THOUGHT HE HAD AMENDED ALT TO FL330. HE HAD NOT. PREVIOUS CTLR HAD MENTIONED WE MIGHT HAVE TO WAIT FOR FL350 THEN HANDED US OFF. AFTER HDOF WE WERE CLRED FOR FL350.
