Narrative:
Reaching cruise altitude. En route cmh to ord 21000, captain leg. Reached 21400 during level off. Reason for occurrence, tired crew, unable to sleep at hotel because of activity and parties. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter participated in boeing study. Had requested a room change to try and get some sleep but not available. The entire crew was disturbed by the noise at the layover hotel.

Title: ALT OVERSHOT ON CLIMBOUT.
Narrative: REACHING CRUISE ALT. ENRTE CMH TO ORD 21000, CAPT LEG. REACHED 21400 DURING LEVEL OFF. REASON FOR OCCURRENCE, TIRED CREW, UNABLE TO SLEEP AT HOTEL BECAUSE OF ACTIVITY AND PARTIES. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH REPORTER REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPTR PARTICIPATED IN BOEING STUDY. HAD REQUESTED A ROOM CHANGE TO TRY AND GET SOME SLEEP BUT NOT AVAILABLE. THE ENTIRE CREW WAS DISTURBED BY THE NOISE AT THE LAYOVER HOTEL.
