Narrative:
IFR approach to houston hobby at OM, cancelled IFR and requested runway 12L, runway 12R is the ILS runway. We were answered 'standby for left' and we proceeded on to landing, were then cleared to land, and landed runway 12L. On rollout tower said 'you were cleared to land runway 12R.' as usual hobby tower was very courteous and easy to work with. No other conversation was had with tower or ground control. My point is that no matter how often we do this side step at hobby we must be sure of which runway used, we had no problem this time but I gave special instructions to our new young copilot to confirm left or right from now on.
