Narrative:
I was working a student in the area between miami VOR and dade-collier airport at the assigned altitude of 2500'. The student was practicing steep 360 degree turns. The student was having problems holding the altitude I assigned (2500') and I found out later that an air carrier flight reported we were doing aerobatics, and that we were at a much higher altitude. They also stated they had to take evasive action. I never saw the air carrier flight, although I saw numerous large jets inbound to mia and fll, and numerous high wing single engine aircraft at our altitude or below. Most of the deviations from the 2500' were dscnts, and at no time did I allow the aircraft to go above 2700' to 2750'. The lowest we went was 2000' or very slowly below. The first I knew of a problem was on landing at north perry airport, and being told to contact miami approach.
