Narrative:
We had just been cleared to line up and wait on runway 34; with an approaching aircraft on 8 mile final which had been cleared to land. Once we were on the runway after about 30 to 45 seconds we started feeling uncomfortable. Upon a short discussion I made two radio calls stating we are ready for departure. With no response the captain followed up stating 'tower we are still on the runway.' it was then tower instructed the aircraft on final to go-around. Once they were clear we were cleared for takeoff.
