Narrative:
I was flying flight inbound to lax from jfk. We were cleared for an ILS 25L to side-step to land on 25R. We were advised that we were following an air carrier Y large transport at 12 O'clock who would land on 25L and we had advised that we had him in sight. Soon after advising approach control that we had air carrier in sight I observed an aircraft at my 8 O'clock position high and converging with our course. We asked approach who he was and what he was doing and were informed that he was cleared to follow us on the localizer and would land on 25L. As I watched the other aircraft's progress he moved to my 10 O'clock position descending and converging toward us. I was assigned and flying an indicated airspeed of 180 KTS on the localizer and G/south. We did not have the runway in sight due to haze conditions. When the aircraft continued to descend and converge toward us to the point where I considered it dangerous I maneuvered off the ILS to the right. The aircraft was close enough to identify it as a commuter small transport (low wing, twin turbo propeller, high t-tail). When I picked up the runway visually I was to the right and to correct back to the left to line up with 25R and land. Crossing the threshold we were abreast the other aircraft. It is my opinion that the other pilot did not see us because he at no time altered his communication. At the closest point we were less than 500' apart and closing.

Title: CLOSE PROX ACR WDB ON STRAIGHT IN TO RWY 25L SIDESTEP TO RWY 25R AND A COMMUTER THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN TRAIL OF THE WDB. MULTIPLE RWY OPERATION PARALLEL RWYS AT LAX.
Narrative: I WAS FLYING FLT INBND TO LAX FROM JFK. WE WERE CLRED FOR AN ILS 25L TO SIDE-STEP TO LAND ON 25R. WE WERE ADVISED THAT WE WERE FOLLOWING AN ACR Y LGT AT 12 O'CLOCK WHO WOULD LAND ON 25L AND WE HAD ADVISED THAT WE HAD HIM IN SIGHT. SOON AFTER ADVISING APCH CTL THAT WE HAD ACR IN SIGHT I OBSERVED AN ACFT AT MY 8 O'CLOCK POS HIGH AND CONVERGING WITH OUR COURSE. WE ASKED APCH WHO HE WAS AND WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WERE INFORMED THAT HE WAS CLRED TO FOLLOW US ON THE LOC AND WOULD LAND ON 25L. AS I WATCHED THE OTHER ACFT'S PROGRESS HE MOVED TO MY 10 O'CLOCK POS DSNDING AND CONVERGING TOWARD US. I WAS ASSIGNED AND FLYING AN INDICATED AIRSPD OF 180 KTS ON THE LOC AND G/S. WE DID NOT HAVE THE RWY IN SIGHT DUE TO HAZE CONDITIONS. WHEN THE ACFT CONTINUED TO DSND AND CONVERGE TOWARD US TO THE POINT WHERE I CONSIDERED IT DANGEROUS I MANEUVERED OFF THE ILS TO THE RIGHT. THE ACFT WAS CLOSE ENOUGH TO IDENT IT AS A COMMUTER SMT (LOW WING, TWIN TURBO PROP, HIGH T-TAIL). WHEN I PICKED UP THE RWY VISUALLY I WAS TO THE RIGHT AND TO CORRECT BACK TO THE LEFT TO LINE UP WITH 25R AND LAND. XING THE THRESHOLD WE WERE ABREAST THE OTHER ACFT. IT IS MY OPINION THAT THE OTHER PLT DID NOT SEE US BECAUSE HE AT NO TIME ALTERED HIS COM. AT THE CLOSEST POINT WE WERE LESS THAN 500' APART AND CLOSING.
