Narrative:
During parking at gate at ord, while being directed by ground marshall, aircraft lower radome area came into contact with tug parked at gate. Ground marshall was signally the last few ft of taxi when noise was heard in cockpit. Aircraft was immediately stopped, brakes set, and normal shutdown checklist completed. Aircraft inspection revealed damage to lower radome area due to tug parked too closely to aircraft movement area. The spot where the aircraft was stopped was still approximately 2' short of the actual stop line. Ground marshall stated that he did not see that the tug was parked too close.
