Narrative:
At about XA20, denver time we were cleared from 260 to cross kenna intersection, the center says they cleared us to 17000' at kenna. I understood the clearance to be cross kenna at 11000'. I read back 'cross kenna at 11000'.' as we descended through 15800', denver told us to climb to 17000' and that was our clearance altitude. We told them we understood it to be 11000' and that we had read back 11000' to him at the time of the original descent clearance. Center told us to climb back to 17000' but there was no traffic and no conflict. The problem arose because denver didn't hear or didn't respond to our readback of 11000' descent.

Title: ALT OVERSHOT. ARTCC RADAR CTLR HEARBACK.
Narrative: AT ABOUT XA20, DENVER TIME WE WERE CLRED FROM 260 TO CROSS KENNA INTXN, THE CTR SAYS THEY CLRED US TO 17000' AT KENNA. I UNDERSTOOD THE CLRNC TO BE CROSS KENNA AT 11000'. I READ BACK 'CROSS KENNA AT 11000'.' AS WE DSNDED THROUGH 15800', DENVER TOLD US TO CLB TO 17000' AND THAT WAS OUR CLRNC ALT. WE TOLD THEM WE UNDERSTOOD IT TO BE 11000' AND THAT WE HAD READ BACK 11000' TO HIM AT THE TIME OF THE ORIGINAL DSNT CLRNC. CTR TOLD US TO CLB BACK TO 17000' BUT THERE WAS NO TFC AND NO CONFLICT. THE PROB AROSE BECAUSE DENVER DIDN'T HEAR OR DIDN'T RESPOND TO OUR READBACK OF 11000' DSNT.
