Narrative:
Cpr X handoff to sdl tower. There seemed to be confusion as if they did not expect us. During the delay small aircraft Y crossed from left to right, and then the tower controller told small aircraft Y to re-enter downwind behind us. The controller never gave us or their traffic callouts, and seemed to be confused and overloaded trying to coordinate the traffic in the pattern. In my opinion, there seemed to be a lack of understanding between the performance of a twin engine jet and a single engine aircraft.

Title: CPR X HAD NMAC WITH SMA Y. SEE AND AVOID CONCEPT.
Narrative: CPR X HDOF TO SDL TWR. THERE SEEMED TO BE CONFUSION AS IF THEY DID NOT EXPECT US. DURING THE DELAY SMA Y CROSSED FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, AND THEN THE TWR CTLR TOLD SMA Y TO RE-ENTER DOWNWIND BEHIND US. THE CTLR NEVER GAVE US OR THEIR TFC CALLOUTS, AND SEEMED TO BE CONFUSED AND OVERLOADED TRYING TO COORDINATE THE TFC IN THE PATTERN. IN MY OPINION, THERE SEEMED TO BE A LACK OF UNDERSTANDING BTWN THE PERFORMANCE OF A TWIN ENG JET AND A SINGLE ENG ACFT.
