Narrative:
Clear VFR day into san. Following aircraft Y to runway 27; encountered wake turbulence due to close ATC sequencing for arriving/departing traffic. Flew above aircraft X's flight path to avoid wake turbulence which required a higher rate of descent on our visual approach to runway 27.

Title: B757 flight crew reported an unstabilized approach resulted when they flew high on the glide slope to avoid wake turbulence from the preceding B737 on approach into SAN.
Narrative: Clear VFR day into SAN. Following Aircraft Y to RWY 27; encountered wake turbulence due to close ATC sequencing for arriving/departing traffic. Flew above Aircraft X's flight path to avoid wake turbulence which required a higher rate of descent on our visual approach to RWY 27.
