At the end of runway 26 made another attempted to contact alb approach (no reply). With WX conditions better than 5000 ft and 5 mi, departed VFR squawking XXXX. Climbing VFR we contacted alb approach and reported, '2000 ft VFR, alb approach.' replied, 'radar contact, maintain 4000 ft.' 'alb approach, are you requesting a report or a phone call?' alb approach: 'no, not necessary. You did not conflict with traffic. Contact ZBW.' 'thank you. We apologize for any inconvenience.
