Narrative:
After takeoff, the aircraft would not pressurize. The flight service manager quickly came forward and said that a seat belt strap had been closed in the left aft service door. I notified departure that we needed to return to oma for landing, and we did so. At the gate, we checked and found that the door did not have a strap closed in it, but that the door had not been closed properly by the cleaners. The door appeared to be closed, all door lights out and working properly when tested, but the door was not actually closed. We cycled the door several times, checking the mechanism, the seal and the operation of the related door light. Everything worked properly normally. We called for fuel, were redispatched by the company and departed for den. In den I was asked to make a maintenance log book entry as an advisory precaution, and I did so. The mechanics checked everything that we had checked in oma and found nothing abnormal or broken. The aircraft was sighted off and sent on another flight.

Title: ACR MLG FAILS TO PRESSURIZE AFTER TKOF.
Narrative: AFTER TKOF, THE ACFT WOULD NOT PRESSURIZE. THE FLT SVC MGR QUICKLY CAME FORWARD AND SAID THAT A SEAT BELT STRAP HAD BEEN CLOSED IN THE LEFT AFT SVC DOOR. I NOTIFIED DEP THAT WE NEEDED TO RETURN TO OMA FOR LNDG, AND WE DID SO. AT THE GATE, WE CHKED AND FOUND THAT THE DOOR DID NOT HAVE A STRAP CLOSED IN IT, BUT THAT THE DOOR HAD NOT BEEN CLOSED PROPERLY BY THE CLEANERS. THE DOOR APPEARED TO BE CLOSED, ALL DOOR LIGHTS OUT AND WORKING PROPERLY WHEN TESTED, BUT THE DOOR WAS NOT ACTUALLY CLOSED. WE CYCLED THE DOOR SEVERAL TIMES, CHKING THE MECHANISM, THE SEAL AND THE OPERATION OF THE RELATED DOOR LIGHT. EVERYTHING WORKED PROPERLY NORMALLY. WE CALLED FOR FUEL, WERE REDISPATCHED BY THE COMPANY AND DEPARTED FOR DEN. IN DEN I WAS ASKED TO MAKE A MAINT LOG BOOK ENTRY AS AN ADVISORY PRECAUTION, AND I DID SO. THE MECHS CHKED EVERYTHING THAT WE HAD CHKED IN OMA AND FOUND NOTHING ABNORMAL OR BROKEN. THE ACFT WAS SIGHTED OFF AND SENT ON ANOTHER FLT.
