Mccall airport (myl) says that it has PAPI for runway 16; but when I was there it [did] not appear to be on and working. I did not see a NOTAM for PAPI out of service. Please check with them to make sure the PAPI is working. If not; that the PAPI is notamed correctly.

Title: Pilot reported that the Runway 16 PAPI lights at MYL were not on and there was no NOTAM regarding the outage.
