Narrative:
On departure from ont airport to ord the prado two SID was assigned. Five departure control frequencys are available. As we were to go ene frequency 119.65 was selected. After takeoff and while in a turn to pdz, departure control was contacted. While checking in, I noticed an aircraft Y at our 1-2 O'clock position, turning away from us. I asked departure control if they saw that aircraft. The response was 'yes why didn't anyone else tell you about him. Who were you talking to prior to me?' I responded, we had just left ont and went from tower to departure 119.65. He then said we were on the wrong frequency and the aircraft I questioned had been turned away from us. We should be on 135.4 which was for going ssw. True we did turn through south on our turn to pdz, but truely our route was east to northeast. I also question why there are frequency for nne, southwest, north, etc, if they are not intended for aircraft deparing on rtes in those directions. No evasive action was performed. No conflict occurred. No further comments were received and we proceeded to ord.

Title: ACR MLG FLC CHANGES TO WRONG FREQ ON PRADO 2 SID FROM ONT.
Narrative: ON DEP FROM ONT ARPT TO ORD THE PRADO TWO SID WAS ASSIGNED. FIVE DEP CTL FREQS ARE AVAILABLE. AS WE WERE TO GO ENE FREQ 119.65 WAS SELECTED. AFTER TKOF AND WHILE IN A TURN TO PDZ, DEP CTL WAS CONTACTED. WHILE CHKING IN, I NOTICED AN ACFT Y AT OUR 1-2 O'CLOCK POS, TURNING AWAY FROM US. I ASKED DEP CTL IF THEY SAW THAT ACFT. THE RESPONSE WAS 'YES WHY DIDN'T ANYONE ELSE TELL YOU ABOUT HIM. WHO WERE YOU TALKING TO PRIOR TO ME?' I RESPONDED, WE HAD JUST L ONT AND WENT FROM TWR TO DEP 119.65. HE THEN SAID WE WERE ON THE WRONG FREQ AND THE ACFT I QUESTIONED HAD BEEN TURNED AWAY FROM US. WE SHOULD BE ON 135.4 WHICH WAS FOR GOING SSW. TRUE WE DID TURN THROUGH S ON OUR TURN TO PDZ, BUT TRUELY OUR RTE WAS E TO NE. I ALSO QUESTION WHY THERE ARE FREQ FOR NNE, SW, N, ETC, IF THEY ARE NOT INTENDED FOR ACFT DEPARING ON RTES IN THOSE DIRECTIONS. NO EVASIVE ACTION WAS PERFORMED. NO CONFLICT OCCURRED. NO FURTHER COMMENTS WERE RECEIVED AND WE PROCEEDED TO ORD.
