Narrative:
On localizer with first officer flying, approach asked out speed, 170 KTS. You were assigned 210. I think I said needed to slow to get down. ATC then gave aircraft behind us spacing vectors because the 'guy in front slowed too soon.' with a very congested frequency, I couldn't get a word in for a speed reduction.

Narrative: ON LOC WITH F/O FLYING, APCH ASKED OUT SPD, 170 KTS. YOU WERE ASSIGNED 210. I THINK I SAID NEEDED TO SLOW TO GET DOWN. ATC THEN GAVE ACFT BEHIND US SPACING VECTORS BECAUSE THE 'GUY IN FRONT SLOWED TOO SOON.' WITH A VERY CONGESTED FREQ, I COULDN'T GET A WORD IN FOR A SPD REDUCTION.
