Narrative:
I was teaching my student no-flap lndgs at an uncontrolled field in nj. The field had no VASI lights. There is a displaced threshold on the field. We did approximately 3 takeoffs and lndgs. An elderly man who was an FAA inspector was watching me. We were taxiing back to the active runway when he waved us off the taxiway. He said we looked a little too low and asked if we were landing on the proper side of the threshold. I told the man that we were landing beyond the displaced threshold. I also told him that we were practicing no-flap lndgs. I continued and said I did not think that we were low. He asked to see my license. I told him I was in a big rush. I handed him my license. He copied down my # and gave the license back to me. He then asked to see the documents on board. I told him again that I was in a big rush and needed to get back to the airport. I asked him if there was going to be a problem. He said not if the aircraft was legal, and also if I came in a little higher next time. I then left.
