Narrative:
On initial power application for takeoff, there was a very brief and mild compressor stall on the #2 engine (fairly common on the large transport during a crosswind takeoff. There was about 15 KTS of direct crosswind). The plane was barely moving when this occurred. To be on the safe side, we taxied off the runway to examine the engine instruments and aircraft system. There was no abnormality, and we taxied back for an uneventful takeoff and flight.

Title: ACR LGT TKOF ABORT DUE TO A MILD COMPRESSOR STALL AT THE START OF THE TKOF ROLL.
Narrative: ON INITIAL PWR APPLICATION FOR TKOF, THERE WAS A VERY BRIEF AND MILD COMPRESSOR STALL ON THE #2 ENG (FAIRLY COMMON ON THE LGT DURING A XWIND TKOF. THERE WAS ABOUT 15 KTS OF DIRECT XWIND). THE PLANE WAS BARELY MOVING WHEN THIS OCCURRED. TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE, WE TAXIED OFF THE RWY TO EXAMINE THE ENG INSTRUMENTS AND ACFT SYS. THERE WAS NO ABNORMALITY, AND WE TAXIED BACK FOR AN UNEVENTFUL TKOF AND FLT.
