Narrative:
WX was IFR and winds calm. Ground visibility was good. We received taxi instructions for runway 11 which included permission to cross an inactive runway. Our route of flight was wbound. The captain taxied to the approach end of runway 29 which included taxiing across the active runway. Our mistake was not realizing until we switched to tower. Tower gave permission for us to takeoff on runway 29.
