Narrative:
I departed torrance airport. Upon reaching an altitude of 4500 ft MSL and establishing myself on the smo VOR 132 degree radial (312 degree to), I then entered the lax TCA VFR corridor for private pilots. I reported on the communication frequency of 128.55 (squawk 1201). Upon entering the corridor, 'small aircraft X at el segundo, nwbound, 4500'. I then reported position again 'small aircraft X los angeles corridor 4500 nwbound over lax south runways'. At this time an small aircraft Y said they were 40 yards behind me, same direction, and that I had 'cut them off in the corridor'. I was diligently scanning for traffic the whole time and they (small aircraft Y) were never in my sight before I entered the corridor (we both were cruising 90 KTS IAS). Small aircraft Y never reported to the communication frequency (128.55) upon entering the corridor until almost upon lax. We (me and the small aircraft Y) kept each other updated on our position until out of the corridor, then we wished each other a 'have a nice day'. Small aircraft Y went to van nuys, I went to sba.

Narrative: I DEPARTED TORRANCE ARPT. UPON REACHING AN ALT OF 4500 FT MSL AND ESTABLISHING MYSELF ON THE SMO VOR 132 DEG RADIAL (312 DEG TO), I THEN ENTERED THE LAX TCA VFR CORRIDOR FOR PRIVATE PLTS. I RPTED ON THE COM FREQ OF 128.55 (SQUAWK 1201). UPON ENTERING THE CORRIDOR, 'SMA X AT EL SEGUNDO, NWBOUND, 4500'. I THEN RPTED POS AGAIN 'SMA X LOS ANGELES CORRIDOR 4500 NWBOUND OVER LAX S RWYS'. AT THIS TIME AN SMA Y SAID THEY WERE 40 YARDS BEHIND ME, SAME DIRECTION, AND THAT I HAD 'CUT THEM OFF IN THE CORRIDOR'. I WAS DILIGENTLY SCANNING FOR TFC THE WHOLE TIME AND THEY (SMA Y) WERE NEVER IN MY SIGHT BEFORE I ENTERED THE CORRIDOR (WE BOTH WERE CRUISING 90 KTS IAS). SMA Y NEVER RPTED TO THE COM FREQ (128.55) UPON ENTERING THE CORRIDOR UNTIL ALMOST UPON LAX. WE (ME AND THE SMA Y) KEPT EACH OTHER UPDATED ON OUR POS UNTIL OUT OF THE CORRIDOR, THEN WE WISHED EACH OTHER A 'HAVE A NICE DAY'. SMA Y WENT TO VAN NUYS, I WENT TO SBA.
